Job Purpose
The candidate is responsible for developing the Components / Sub Assemblies / Assemblies of the Product and take it to Production by Collaborating with the Internal and external stakeholders like Design, Validation, Supplier, Customer etc. )
With a strong mechanical engineering foundation, the role collaborates with the cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, compliant, and cost‑effective products, ensuring alignment with customer requirements & program timelines
Roles & Responsibilities
- Define and own product architecture and system-level design
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into robust product solutions in Components & Assembly
- Drive cross‑functional integration across various domains.
- Ensure on‑time delivery of program milestones and phase‑gate reviews
- Own technical decision‑making and trade‑offs (cost, weight, performance, schedule)
- Ensure compliance with Customer Specific / automotive / aerospace standards
- Drive DFMEA, risk management, and issue resolution throughout development
- Enable manufacturing readiness, DFM/DFA, and industrialization
- Support prototype builds, testing, and launch/production ramp‑up
- Act as primary technical interface with customers, partners, and suppliers
- Drive cost optimization, weight reduction, and reliability improvements
- Capture and deploy lessons learned and best practices across programs
- Mentor teams and build strong technical and leadership capability within NPD organization
Skills Required
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals (Aero, Structures, thermal, NVH, durability)
- End‑to‑end New Product Development lifecycle experience (concept to launch/certification)
- Product architecture and system‑level design understanding
- Cross‑disciplinary integration (mechanical, EE, electronics, software)
- Requirements flow‑down, validation, and APQP execution
- Knowledge of automotive and aerospace standards and OEM requirements
- Expertise in system integration, verification, and validation
- Experience with prototype builds, testing, and launch support
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturing readiness
- Working knowledge of CAD/PLM tools and data‑driven engineering decisions

Qualification
B.E./B. Tech or M.E./M. Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Experience
12 – 15 years
Preference
- Automotive/Aerospace NPD with proven ownership from concept to SOP/launch
- Mechanical Engineering with strong exposure to vehicle/system integration
- Experience across ICE platforms, powertrain, thermal, or body systems
- Prior work with OEMs or Tier‑1 suppliers on domestic/ global programs
