Department: QA/QC & NPD
Job Location: Daman
Job Purpose
To support and execute new product development activities, ensuring timely delivery of projects,quality compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
:- Handle end-to-end new product development (NPD) activities from concept tocommercialization
- Coordinate with customers for product requirements, specifications, and approvals
- Develop and finalize product drawings, samples, and trials
- Conduct and support trial runs (mould trials, pilot batches) and ensure proper documentation
- Work on APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and related documentation
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
- Coordinate with production, tool room, purchase, and QA teams for smooth project execution- Monitor and improve product quality, process capability, and cost efficiency
- Support in raw material selection, testing (MFI, density, etc.), and validation
- Handle customer complaints related to development stage products- Maintain proper records of development status, timelines, and reportsKey
Skills Required:-
Strong knowledge of plastic processing (Blow Moulding)
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan
- Understanding of polymer properties (HDPE, PP, PCR materials, etc.)
- Basic understanding of drawings (2D/3D)- Good communication and coordination skills- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Plastic Engineering / Polymer Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
Experience:- 2–5 years of experience in NPD / QA in plastics or packaging industry
Preferred Industry:- Plastic packaging (Containers)- Blow moulding industries
Additional Requirements:- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines- Willingness to travel for customer visits or trials
