NOVARGI Indian branch, an Indian established company belonging to the International Group NOVARGI, is currently seeking a SeniorFired Heater Engineer Specialist to join our Indian team based in the Office of Gurgaon OR Pune.

NOVARGI Indian branch, is mainly focused on Detail Engineering activities for the whole group and Project management activities.

Role Summary

The Fired Heater Engineer will be responsible for the design and coordination of fired equipment and related mechanical systems within Oil & Gas and energy EPC projects.

This role involves leading multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring technical quality, compliance with international standards, and alignment with project schedule, cost, and performance objectives across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and review mechanical design and calculations for fired equipment, pressure vessels, and structures.
  • Develop and coordinate engineering deliverables (GA drawings, 2D/3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Prepare and manage material requisitions, technical specifications, and vendor documentation.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations and support procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with process, piping, instrumentation, and construction teams.
  • Monitor engineering progress to meet project schedule and cost targets.
  • Support tendering and proposal preparation with technical input.
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and internal technical discussions.
  • Provide technical support to workshop and site activities when required.
  • Ensure proper documentation control and approval processes.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in mechanical design of fired equipment and pressure systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools: AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, TEKLA, Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and detail engineering coordination.
  • Familiarity with pressure vessel design tools (PV Elite, CAESAR II – plus).
  • Solid knowledge of international codes & standards (ASME, API, AISC, etc.).
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary EPC environments.
  • Ability to manage technical interfaces, risks, and engineering deliverables.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, coordination, and communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project priorities.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
  • (preferably Mechanical Engineering)

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in EPC projects within Oil & Gas, Energy, or Petrochemical sectors
  • Proven experience in fired equipment (fired heaters, reformers, WHRU, etc.)
  • Experience in engineering coordination and project environments
  • Exposure to workshop and site activities is highly valued

  • Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
