We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented
Non-IT Recruiter specializing in
blue-collar hiring for the manufacturing industry. The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring shop-floor and plant-level workforce including operators, technicians, supervisors, and other skilled/semi-skilled labor roles. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in bulk hiring, vendor coordination, and end-to-end recruitment processes for manufacturing environments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for blue-collar roles (operators, welders, fitters, machinists, helpers, technicians, etc.)
- Handle bulk and mass hiring drives for plant and factory requirements
- Source candidates through job portals, field recruitment, local networks, contractors, and referral programs
- Coordinate with plant managers and department heads to understand manpower requirements
- Conduct screening interviews and shortlist candidates
- Organize walk-in drives and campus hiring for ITI/Diploma candidates
- Manage recruitment vendors and staffing agencies
- Ensure timely onboarding and documentation compliance
- Maintain recruitment MIS reports and hiring trackers
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and hiring policies
Key Mandatory Skills Technical & Functional Skills
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in non-IT / blue-collar recruitment
- Experience hiring for manufacturing, production, or factory roles
- Strong experience in bulk hiring / mass recruitment
- Knowledge of local labor market and sourcing strategies
- Familiarity with job portals (Naukri, Indeed, Apna, etc.)
- Understanding of labor laws and statutory compliance
- Experience coordinating with contractors and manpower agencies
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- MBA/PGDM in HR (preferred but not mandatory)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive, heavy engineering, FMCG, textile, or similar manufacturing sectors
- Experience managing hiring for multiple plant locations
