About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled NodeJS Backend Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely from India or from your preferred location. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that support our innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build robust APIs, integrate with advanced AI tools, and optimize system performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, a thorough understanding of cloud-based architectures, particularly AWS, and experience working within the healthcare or pharma domains is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Node.js backend development.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming patterns and queue-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS Fargate, SQS, and other cloud-native technologies.
- Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL and caching systems such as Redis, including pub-sub and session management.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, particularly Playwright and axe-core.
- Knowledge of AI integration, specifically with AWS Bedrock (Claude Sonnet), for AI-assisted quality control checks.
- Prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, especially with Veeva, MLR processes, and WCAG compliance, will be advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services, including REST APIs, SQS consumers, and ECS Fargate worker processes.
- Design and implement worker patterns that facilitate parallel execution for efficient processing.
- Integrate AI tools such as AWS Bedrock (Claude Sonnet) into backend workflows to enable AI-assisted quality checks.
- Build and enhance backend functionalities like job submission interfaces, real-time status tracking, and results dashboards.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of features.
- Write automated tests using Playwright and axe-core to ensure high-quality, accessible, and reliable software.
- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for scalable and secure backend services.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve system capabilities and developer productivity.
