Title: NOC Shift Manager
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Work Mode: Work from Office (5 days a week)
Shift: 24*7 Rotational Shift including night shift
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically skilled NOC Shift Manager to lead 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily NOC activities, ensuring continuous monitoring, incident management, escalation handling, operational excellence, and service availability across global infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as LogicMonitor and SolarWinds, along with expertise in infrastructure monitoring, automation, Linux systems, and operational process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise NOC operations during assigned shifts, ensuring 24/7 monitoring coverage, incident management, escalation handling, and timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor network, server, website, UPS, and infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools and technologies.
- Coordinate and prioritize incident response activities while ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational standards.
- Lead major incident coordination, shift handovers, operational reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Mentor and guide NOC Analysts and Engineers to improve technical capability, operational efficiency, and professional development.
- Drive team upskilling initiatives in CCNA, CCNP, Firewall, Linux, Python, and Ansible technologies.
- Support automation initiatives to reduce manual monitoring tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Configure and optimize proactive monitoring, SNMP monitoring, alert thresholds, escalation workflows, and operational processes.
- Support AI-driven alert optimization initiatives using technologies such as Edwin AI to reduce alert noise and false positives.
- Collaborate with Network, Security, Systems, Cloud, ISP, Vendor, and IT Support teams to resolve complex technical issues and escalations.
- Generate and analyze operational reports, performance metrics, trends, and incident data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of experience in NOC, Infrastructure Operations, or Enterprise Monitoring environments.
- 5+ years of leadership or shift management experience in a 24x7 operational environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- LogicMonitor
- SolarWinds
- Nagios / PRTG
- SNMP Monitoring
- Linux Administration
- Network Troubleshooting
- Experience with automation scripting using:
- Python
- Ansible
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing & switching, DNS, VPN, firewall technologies, and ITIL processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, RHCSA/RHCE, ITIL Foundation, or CompTIA Network+.
- Experience with AIOps, automation workflows, and cloud monitoring environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of monitoring platform consolidation and operational automation initiatives.
