Job Description: NOC Lead
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-Time (Hybrid)
Experience: 10–15 Years
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the NOC team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Monitor network performance and ensure minimal downtime across systems
- Investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using tools like ping, traceroute, netstat, Wireshark
- Manage and optimize network access control mechanisms
- Work on incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution within SLAs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure improvements
- Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks
Experience:
Technical Skills Required
Networking & Protocols
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Experience with protocols: DHCP, DNS, NTP, VPN, QoS
- Understanding of common network protocols and services
Routing & WAN Technologies
- Hands-on experience with:
- OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
- MPLS, SD-WAN
- Label Switching & Traffic Engineering
Security & Compliance
- Knowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Authentication mechanisms
- Understanding of ISO 27001, NIST standards
- Experience in handling and resolving security incidents
Tools & Troubleshooting
- Expertise in:
- Wireshark
- Netstat
- Traceroute / Ping
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
