NOC Engineer

Job description

• Primarily responsible for monitoring/initial troubleshooting,
• Server monitoring, alert acknowledgement and initial troubleshooting
• Monitoring Alert acknowledgment and initial troubleshooting.
• Monitor all Windows servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
• Storage, DB, Cloud monitoring
• Escalate tickets to L2 and L3 as appropriate.
• Network links monitoring and following up with providers for fault resolution
• Alerting the team and project owners of any alerts for customers.
• Initial Windows server support as needed.
• Knowledge on ticketing systems and ITIL process
• Server patching experience
• Liase with third party vendors for any OS issues
• Coordinate with ISP/Customers for link issues
• Network devices monitoring and initial checks
• Knowledge on network fundamentals
• Certified in Microsoft technologies preferred
• Degree in Computers preferred (Preferably Engineering degree holders).
• Good communication (Verbal and Written) skills which helps in the smooth interaction with users.
• Good team player and able to follow team policies and processes. Knowledge in Cloud services like Amazon, Windows Azure, VMWare is needed
