Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented NMS Administrator to join our IT Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for the monitoring, management, and optimization of network performance across complex, enterprise-grade environments. The NMS Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of network infrastructure by leveraging industry-leading tools such as ManageEngine, SolarWinds, and SNMP-based monitoring systems. You will work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and service operations teams to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues before they impact business operations. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our OSS (Operations Support Systems) ecosystem and enabling seamless service delivery across distributed networks. With 4–5 years of hands-on experience in network management and administration, you will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automate routine tasks, and support the evolution of our monitoring strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage network performance using SNMP, ManageEngine, and SolarWinds platforms to ensure optimal system availability and responsiveness.
- Administer and maintain Network Management Systems (NMS) to support real-time visibility into network health, device status, and performance metrics.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize SNMP traps, polling intervals, and alerting mechanisms to minimize false positives and ensure timely incident detection.
- Integrate NMS tools with existing OSS frameworks to enable end-to-end service monitoring and automated fault detection.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including topology maps, device configurations, and monitoring policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Automate routine monitoring tasks and reporting using scripts and built-in NMS workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Support system upgrades, patch management, and configuration changes for NMS platforms in coordination with IT and network teams.
- Generate and analyze performance reports to identify trends, capacity constraints, and potential bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices for network monitoring and data integrity.
Requirements

- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in network management, systems administration, or related IT operations within a service-oriented environment.
- Proven expertise in SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for device monitoring and data collection.
- In-depth knowledge of OSS (Operations Support Systems) and integration with NMS platforms for service assurance.
- Demonstrated experience with ManageEngine N-central, ManageEngine OpManager, or similar network monitoring tools.
- Strong proficiency in SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Orion Platform, and related modules.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, routing, and switching fundamentals.
- Experience with configuration management, change control, and incident management processes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and data extraction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, or ManageEngine/ SolarWinds-specific certifications are highly desirable.
