Job Description Summary
System Design & Development: Create, optimize, and maintain highly scalable, reliable Python applications and microservices, often leveraging cloud-native technologies.
Technical Leadership: Lead complex projects, define technical requirements, and provide guidance on best practices for coding, testing, and debugging.
Code Quality & Review: Ensure high-quality code through rigorous code reviews and implementing testing strategies (CI/CD).
Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to integrate, test, and deliver features. Mentor junior developers to foster a culture of excellence.
Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, ensuring the system is robust and secure
Required Skills And Qualifications
Expertise in Python: Strong proficiency in Python and popular frameworks (preferably FastAPI).
Experience Level: Generally, 47+ years of professional software development experience.
Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Software Principles: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design patterns.
Education: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or a related field
Proven experience leading software projects and mentoring team members.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Security: Understanding of security best practices for cloud applications.
Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable systems, leveraging cloud-native technologies and micro services architecture to build robust and resilient solutions.
Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilot implementations to showcase new ideas.
Strive for excellence by continuously seeking ways to enhance system reliability, performance, and security.
Contribute to design and code reviews and assist in debugging and resolving issues.
Develop system components and take full responsibility for the timely delivery, quality of the work.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, support teams, and end users.
Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Tackle complex technical challenges, drive innovation, and stay up to date with emerging technologies.
Ability to collaborate with contractors.
Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
Occasionally, will need to handle application production (warranty) support.
