Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic, fearless, and tech-savvy News Vlogger to lead our channel. The ideal candidate will be the voice and face of the channel, traveling across the country to bring righteous reporting to the masses. You will blend the Raw & Unfiltered style of ground reporting with the Data-Driven & Visual storytelling seen in modern educational vlogs.
Key Responsibilities:- Ground Reporting: Travel to remote areas,slums and conflict zones to capture India's Unfiltered Voice. Conduct on-the-spot interviews with locals to highlight social and political issues.
- Data-Driven Storytelling: Research and script deep-dive videos that explain the how and why factor.
- Viral Content Creation: Produce high-impact news breakdowns that provide the core facts of trending news.
- Scripting & Research: Conduct rigorous fact-checking and draft scripts that are objective yet engaging for a Gen-Z and Millennial audience.
- Camera Presence: Deliver high-energy, relatable, and authoritative pieces-to-camera (PTC) in diverse environments (crowded markets, rural fields, or a studio setup).
- Collaboration: Work with video editors to ensure the packaging is world-class, using motion graphics and b-roll to keep viewers engaged.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Journalistic Integrity: A deep understanding of media ethics, libel laws, and the responsibility.
- Mobile Journalism (MoJo): Expertise in shooting high-quality video/audio on smartphones or mirrorless cameras while in the field.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to simplify complex political or social topics into palatable content without losing the nuance.
- Adaptability: Comfortable traveling on short notice and working in challenging on-ground conditions.
- Language: Fluency in Hindi and English (Regional languages are a plus).
- Portfolio: Proven track record of creating video content that has garnered significant digital engagement.
