New Product Development Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Innovation

• Support development of new nutraceutical products

• Translate consumer insights and marketing briefs into actionable product formulations

• Work closely with suppliers, and manufacturing partners for sample development

• Evaluate and refine prototypes based on sensory, stability, and functionality feedback.

2. Project Management

• Manage multiple NPD projects simultaneously across different stages of development

• Ensure adherence to timelines from concept approval to market launch

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including marketing, regulatory, procurement, and production

3. Raw Material & Vendor Coordination

• Source and evaluate new raw materials in collaboration with procurement

• Liaise with vendors for sampling, technical data, and costing

4. Regulatory & Compliance Support

• Ensure formulations comply with FSSAI and relevant international regulatory guidelines

• Assist in documentation, product specifications, and label claim validation

• Coordinate with regulatory teams for product approvals

5. Testing & Validation

• Coordinate stability studies, sensory evaluations, and lab testing

• Analyze product performance and iterate based on feedback

• Maintain proper documentation of test results and development history

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing teams for product positioning and claims

• Support supply chain and production teams during scale-up and tech transfer

• Participate in product launches and post-launch evaluations

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong understanding of nutraceutical ingredients, delivery formats, and stability concepts

• Experience in handling end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch

• Good knowledge of FSSAI regulations and labeling requirements

• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
