Job Description: New Product Development (NPD) & Brand Manager

musical books, and decor to introduce children to Indian values and traditions through comfort and 

play. From our signature mantra-chanting plushies to immersive storytellers, we make culture feel 

like play and tradition feel familiar for modern parents worldwide. 

Role Summary 

We are looking for a creative, data-driven, and highly organized NPD & Brand Manager to lead 

our product expansion and brand identity. You will own the product lifecycle from initial consumer 

insight and prototyping to manufacturing coordination, while simultaneously shaping how our 

brand communicates with parents and families across all touchpoints. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. New Product Development (NPD) & Sourcing 

• Pipeline Strategy: Research market trends, parental pain points, and toy safety standards 

to conceptualize next-generation screen-free toys, divine decor, and interactive books. 

• Prototyping & Sampling: Collaborate with designers, fabricators, and electronic 

component suppliers (e.g., sound boxes, safety modules) to translate concept sketches into 

child-safe, premium prototypes. 

• Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Identify, onboard, and manage manufacturing 

partners (domestic and international) to ensure timely production, cost efficiency, and strict 

quality control. 

• Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to rigid child-safety protocols (non-toxic materials, 

battery safety, and global/domestic toy manufacturing standards). 

2. Brand Management & Campaign Strategy 

• Brand Voice & Narrative: Safeguard and evolve the Panda's Box positioning—ensuring 

our voice remains friendly, approachable, culturally rich, and completely fear-free for 

young families. 

• Go-To-Market (GTM) Launches: Design and execute launch campaigns for new SKUs 

across our website, Amazon, and offline/gifting channels. 

• Content & Creative Direction: Brief and oversee creative teams (copywriters, graphic 

designers, video editors) to produce high-converting ad creatives, organic social reels, and 

premium unboxing experiences. 

• Community & Influencer Engagement: Build relationships with parenting influencers, 

modern grandparents, and family creators to drive authentic brand adoption and 

community trust. 

Preferred Experience

#3–6 years of experience in NPD, Brand Management, or Category 

Management within D2C, Toy/Baby Care brands, or FMCG. 

#Prior experience working with physical products (textiles, plastics, 

electronics, or print publishing) is highly preferred. 

#A rare mix of creative storytelling (writing/critiquing brand copy and 

visuals) and analytical rigor (costing sheets, timeline tracking, performance 

data analysis). 

Mindset 

#Deep empathy for parents and child psychology. Ability to handle ambiguity 

and wear multiple hats in a fast-scaled startup environment.
