Job Purpose
The incumbent will act as a catalyst for end-to-end New Product Development, driving projects from concept and project proposal stage through product launch. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while meeting cost, quality, and delivery (QCD) objectives.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Development & Project Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end NPD projects from Project Proposal creation to product launch.
- Drive development activities for Home Appliances Division, including:
- Small Home Appliances
- Kitchen Appliances
- Large Kitchen Appliances
- Air Coolers
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a single point of contact between Design, R&D, Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies at early stages.
- Proactively mitigate risks and ensure projects move in the right direction without impacting Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
- Maintain and track product documentation, design changes, approvals, and milestones through the PLM system.
Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD) Focus
- Ensure product designs comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety norms.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising product performance or quality.
- Ensure adherence to committed timelines for development, validation, and launch.
Reporting & Management Communication
- Prepare and present project status updates, risk assessments, and milestone reports to management and higher authorities.
- Use PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis, dashboards, project tracking, and management reviews.
- Highlight critical issues and propose corrective/preventive actions.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical)
Experience
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in New Product Development, preferably in Home Appliances / Consumer Durables
Preferred Experience
- Experience in handling multiple product categories simultaneously
- Exposure to product commercialization and launch activities
- Experience working in a structured, matrix-driven organization
