Role Description
Agrasen Engineering is seeking an experiencedNew Product Development (NPD) Managerto lead the development and industrialization of new precision components across its integrated manufacturing processes.
The role involves managing thecomplete product development lifecycle, from RFQ evaluation and feasibility analysis to process development, tooling design, validation trials, and production launch.
The NPD Manager will work closely withcustomers, engineering teams, tooling, production, and quality departmentsto ensure that new products are successfully developed usingforging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface treatment processes.
This is afull-time on-site role based in Jaipur, requiring strong technical leadership and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality products within defined timelines and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
- Leadend-to-end new product developmentfrom RFQ stage to mass production.
- Conducttechnical feasibility studiesfor manufacturing processes including forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface finishing.
- Evaluate customer drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements.
Process Development
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes including
- Hot / Cold Forging
- CNC Machining
- Heat Treatment (Induction / Furnace / Hardening)
- Grinding and finishing operations
- Surface treatments and coatings
- Sub-assembly processes
Tooling & Industrialization
- Coordinatetooling design and development for forging dies, machining fixtures, and gauges.
- Managetrial runs, validation batches, and pilot production.
- Ensure process capability and manufacturing efficiency before production launch.
Quality & Customer Approvals
- LeadAPQP, PPAP, and product validation processes.
- Work with quality teams to prepareDFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection standards.
- Interface with customers fortechnical discussions, approvals, and project reviews.
Project Management
- Managemultiple development projects simultaneously.
- Ensure projects meetquality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Coordinate withproduction, quality, procurement, and sales teams.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improvemanufacturing efficiency, process capability, and product design.
- Support cost optimization throughprocess improvements and tooling innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree inMechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- 715 years experiencein automotive or precision engineering manufacturing.
- Strong expertise inforging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface treatment processes.
- Experience inautomotive NPD processes such as APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Knowledge ofprecision components such as bearing rings, transmission components, or similar automotive parts.
- Strongproject management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working withautomotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Exposure tobearing components, forged transmission parts, or drivetrain components.
- Familiarity withadvanced manufacturing technologies and automation in forging and machining.
