Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a New Product Development Engineer located in Chennai. The New Product Development Engineer will lead and manage the end-to-end process of developing new products from concept design to production launch. The role involves Managing and creating quotations for RFQs competetively, driving innovation, ensuring cost-effective process design, coordinating cross-functional teams (design, production, quality, procurement, and marketing), and aligning product strategy with business goals and ensure high RFQ conversions.

Key Skills

• Strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on product design and development
• Knowledge in (R&D) methodologies and innovative problem-solving skills
• Proven experience in product development and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
• Understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes
• Strong knowledge in developing forged and machined components
• Knowledge of different manufacturing processes
• Understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and ISO/IATF 16949 standards
• Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
