About- BD Industries BDI Group (of companies) is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified organization manufacturing plastic products in Mumbai since over 35 years. We manufacture over 500 products and cater to 8 different industries including custom rotational moulding. We are vendors to leading automotive companies for fuels tanks, in cab parts, fenders, roof tops, ad blue tanks etc. BDI also manufactures various kinds of road barriers and other allied products for the safety industry. For material handling products we manufacture the entire range of plastic pallets (with foam/ without foam/with steel reinforcement). Dustbins, Twin bins, Garbage Chutes, Hospital furniture are some of the other products BDI does. Our speciality lies in custom moulding and developing newer concepts and products right from the sketch off a napkin. With 5 plants in western, northern and southern India, BDI is well poised to serve customers PAN India.

Key Responsibilities

Handle New Product Development (NPD) activities from concept to production stage.

Prepare and maintain BOMs, routing sheets, SOPs, process sheets, and related documentation.

Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, and factory teams for smooth project execution. Develop and manage vendors for new product requirements and sourcing activities.

Support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.

Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and maintain records in SAP system.

Coordinate with customers for enquiries, product requirements, and technical discussions.

Support trial runs, sample development, and production validation activities.

Ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards.

Work on CAPEX purchase coordination and operational support activities.

Required-

Knowledge of NPD and manufacturing processes.

Hands-on experience in SAP and MS Excel.

Understanding of BOM preparation and process documentation.

Vendor development and cost negotiation skills.

Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of process improvement tools and shop floor operations.

Process Engineering / Operations Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience

4-5 years of relevant experience in NPD, Operations, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Industry.

Additional Preference Candidates with exposure to process engineering, tooling coordination, warranty analysis, production support, and vendor management will be preferred.
