Consultant Neurosurgeon Primary Title: Consultant Neurosurgeon
About The Opportunity
A high-acuity healthcare provider in the tertiary-care multispecialty hospital sector delivering advanced neurosurgical, neurocritical care and spine services across Telangana. We are expanding our on-site clinical team to serve high-volume centres in Jeedimetla (Hyderabad) and Secunderabad and seek a Consultant Neurosurgeon to deliver excellence in surgical care, multidisciplinary collaboration and academic contribution.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level care in elective and emergency neurosurgeryperform pre-operative assessment, operative management and post-operative follow-up for cranial and spinal conditions.
- Plan and execute a full range of neurosurgical procedures including tumor resections, spinal decompression and stabilization, endoscopic procedures and vascular cases as appropriate to expertise.
- Lead multidisciplinary case discussions and tumour boards; coordinate with neuroanesthesia, neuroradiology and neurocritical care teams to optimise outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents and nursing staff; maintain accurate surgical logs, consent records and clinical documentation.
- Implement and adhere to clinical protocols, perioperative pathways and infection-control standards; participate in clinical audits and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental teaching, training sessions and opportunities for clinical research and publications.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MCh or DrNB (Neurosurgery) or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification in neurosurgery.
- Valid Indian medical registration and eligibility to practise in Telangana.
- Demonstrated competence in microsurgical cranial and spinal procedures and perioperative neurocritical care.
- Experience interpreting neuroimaging (CT, MRI) and integrating findings into surgical planning.
- Proven ability to manage neurosurgical emergencies and coordinate multidisciplinary critical care.
- Strong operative log with documented case experience in tumour, trauma or degenerative spine surgery.
Preferred
- Fellowship or additional training in skull-base surgery, neuro-oncology, endoscopic neurosurgery or vascular neurosurgery.
- Experience with awake craniotomy and functional neurosurgery procedures.
- Track record of publications, conference presentations or academic supervision.
