About The Opportunity
A clinical opportunity in the private healthcare sector delivering tertiary neurology services across HyderabadSecunderabad (Jeedimetla). The role sits within a patient-first multispecialty environment focused on acute stroke care, epilepsy management, neurocritical care, and outpatient neurology clinics. This is an on-site Consultant Neurologist role serving inpatient, emergency, and OPD services in Telangana.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurology careevaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, and demyelinating conditions.
- Lead acute stroke workflows: assess candidates for IV thrombolysis, coordinate imaging and EVT referrals, and participate in stroke-code decision-making and post-thrombolysis care.
- Perform and interpret neurological procedures and investigations such as EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, lumbar puncture, and bedside neurophysiology monitoring.
- Manage neurocritical care patients in ICU settingsstabilize critically ill neurologic patients, direct ventilator and intracranial pressure considerations, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver therapeutic procedures including botulinum toxin injections, procedural sedation where indicated, and intrathecal/injection therapies per institutional protocols.
- Document concise, medico-legal quality clinical notes, participate in clinical audits, contribute to case discussions, and mentor junior clinicians and residents.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DM Neurology or DrNB Neurology or equivalent specialist qualification
- Valid Indian medical registration
- Proven clinical competence in acute stroke management and neurocritical care
- Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and lumbar puncture
- Familiarity with neuroimaging interpretation (MRI/CT) for stroke, demyelination, and structural pathologies
- Strong clinical documentation skills and adherence to hospital protocols and patient-safety standards
Preferred
- Fellowship or additional training in neurocritical care, stroke, or epilepsy
- Certification or advanced training in electrodiagnostics (EEG/EMG)
- Experience leading a stroke program or involvement in multidisciplinary stroke audits and quality improvement
