Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Security Manager with strong hands-on expertise in Network Detection & Response (NDR), Palo Alto Networks, Network Security Architecture, Firewall Security, Threat Detection, and Incident Response.
The candidate will be responsible for leading network security initiatives, NDR implementation, Palo Alto firewall operations, security architecture, threat monitoring, incident response, and managing a team of network security engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation, deployment, and optimization of NDR solutions across enterprise network environments.
- Design and implement Network Detection & Response (NDR) architecture for real-time network traffic monitoring and threat detection.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), including security policies, NAT, VPN, URL Filtering, App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, and WildFire.
- Manage and optimize Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall administration and policy management.
- Integrate NDR platforms with Palo Alto, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security technologies.
- Develop network security monitoring and detection strategies for identifying lateral movement, C2 communication, malware, anomalous traffic, and advanced threats.
- Lead network security incident investigation, containment, and remediation activities.
- Review and improve firewall rules, security policies, segmentation, and access controls.
- Drive network security architecture, Zero Trust, network segmentation, and defense-in-depth initiatives.
- Establish and maintain security standards, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
- Monitor network security posture and identify security gaps, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with SOC, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
- Lead security projects from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, and production rollout.
- Perform security technology evaluations, PoCs, and vendor assessments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Network Security engineers.
- Manage escalations related to complex firewall, NDR, network security, and security incident issues.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Track security KPIs, SLA adherence, incident trends, and operational performance.
Required Technical Skills
NDR / Network Detection & Response
- Strong experience in NDR implementation and deployment.
- Network traffic analysis and threat detection.
- IDS/IPS and behavioral analytics.
- Network packet analysis and anomaly detection.
- Threat hunting and detection engineering.
- Experience with NDR platforms such as Vectra AI, Darktrace, ExtraHop, Corelight, or equivalent.
Palo Alto Networks
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW.
- Palo Alto Panorama.
- Security Policies, NAT, Zones, Virtual Routers.
- App-ID, User-ID, URL Filtering.
- Threat Prevention, WildFire, Anti-Spyware and Vulnerability Protection.
- GlobalProtect VPN.
- Firewall upgrades, migration, troubleshooting, and optimization
