Role: Network Wireless Engineer (Cisco)
Required Technical Skill Set: Cisco WLAN

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- Strong hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of
- Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Access Points (APs).
- Cisco Prime Infrastructure / DNA Center
- Cisco ISE, RADIUS/AAA, 802.1X authentication
- Deep understanding of:
- Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
- RF fundamentals, modulation, interference, roaming
- Wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, EAP types)
- Site survey tools like Ekahau, AirMagnet.
- Manage installation of the new Wireless Access Points (Cisco)
- Manage Wireless LAN technical issues through resolution
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance wireless network performance
- Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities
Good-To-Have
- Good Knowledge & Hands on experience on Cisco WLCs.
- ITIL Certification.
- Technical Certifications such as Cisco CCNP Enterprise Wireless, Cisco CWNA/CWNP and Ekahau ESS Certification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead during critical incidents.
Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role
1Act as L3 escalation point for complex wireless incidents and performance issues.
2Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco WLCs (AireOS & 9800 series) and Cisco Access Points.
3Support wireless design, RF optimization, deployments, and code upgrades.
4Work with security teams for 802.1X, ISE, and wireless authentication issues.
5Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes.
