Job Description

  • Cisco WAN Link Maintenance Engineer to be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of our wide area network WAN links
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of the organization s WAN links including data and voice circuits
  • Perform regular health checks and proactive monitoring of WAN links to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact service
  • Troubleshoot and resolve WAN related incidents and problems ensuring minimal downtime and maximum service availability
  • Collaborate with telecommunications service providers to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues
  • Implement and configure Cisco routers and switches to optimize WAN performance and ensure efficient routing of data and voice traffic
  • Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting WAN links using Cisco routers and switches o Strong understanding of WAN protocols and technologies including MPLS VPN and SD WAN
  • Knowledge of routing protocols BGP OSPF EIGRP and WAN optimization techniques o Familiarity with voice networking technologies including VoIP protocols and unified communications systems
  • Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools o Strong analytical and problem solving skills o Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary Skills

  • Basic Network - routing and switching
  • Upgrades / updates knowledge / experience
  • WAN protocols MTLS

Secondary Skills

  • Knowledge of ACI module
  • SD WAN knowledge
  • CCNA certified - who will have knowledge / experience on the above competencies.
