Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Network Support Engineer role based in Gurugram, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Network Support Engineer will monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving network issues, responding to support tickets, and providing technical assistance to internal teams and external clients. The role involves implementing network changes, assisting with upgrades, documenting configurations, and following standard operating procedures. The Network Support Engineer will also collaborate with senior engineers on network optimization, security hardening, and incident response to ensure stable and secure operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of switches, routers, and other network devices.
- Hands-on experience in Technical Support and Troubleshooting, with the ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve network-related incidents in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of Network Security principles and practices, such as firewall management, access control, and basic intrusion detection or prevention.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and common routing protocols; understanding of LAN/WAN architectures.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent practical experience are preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication, and customer-service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
