Your role and responsibilities

  • Network Services Specialistare the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients.
  • As a Senior Network Services Specialistwith IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network.
  • Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource data.
  • You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centers on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Skills: Candidate should have strong knowledge and hands-on experience on belowproducts and technologies.

  • Technologies - WAN Technology, BGP configuration, Path Selection, FHRP..
  • Switching Products Cisco, HP, Arista, Dell
  • Models Nexus 9K, 5K, Catalyst C9200, C3850X,
  • Wireless Product Cisco - Model Controller 9800, 5508, AP- 1800,2800,1700, 91XX
  • Cisco ISE Product Cisco
  • Load Balancer Product F5 and Citrix.
  • SD WAN Product Cisco, FortiGate,
  • Network Monitoring & Ticketing Tool Product Solar-wind, Ops Manager, BMC Remedy. BMC Helix
  • Additional certifications on F5 LB. (BIG-IP LTM (301)/ BIG-IP DNS (302))
  • Additional certifications on F5 LB. (BIG-IP LTM (301)/ BIG-IP DNS (302))

Required education

Required technical and professional expertise

  • L2 Network Engineer with 5 - 7 yrs.
  • Good To Have excellent hands ON on the products mentioned above. .
  • Should have supported Network deployments.
  • Should have Min 3 years of experience in CORE Network operational Technical support.
  • Analyses, troubleshoots, tracks, and repairs complex enterprise data communication network problems.
  • Oversees the process used to document network engineering.
  • Plan and lead the execution of a comprehensive deployment plan, including work planning, scheduling, training, and resources.
  • Collaborate with all teams to ensure alignment between all deployment-related activities.
  • Liaising with the customer technical representatives.
  • Provide recommendations to client on deployment of new features.
  • Ability to create HLD/LLD, SOPs
  • Implement the changes as applicable, test the changes and handover to customer.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Network Deployment.
  • Troubleshooting critical incidents and problem tickets.
  • Identify potential failures and recommend solution.
  • CCNP ENCORE
  • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting skills on SD WAN, LAN segmentation, Cisco Switches, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Cisco Routers, Firewalls Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, Riverbed Bandwidth Optimizers, F5 Load Balancers, and Citrix Load balancers.
  • Maintain design of LAN/WAN including protocols and routing.
  • Identify potential failures and recommend solution.
  • Update knowledge base with known errors.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication.
  • Flexible to work in 24x7 Shifts
