1.               JOB PURPOSE

To deliver the assigned network design scope in a project as per schedule with requisite quality.

3.              ABOUT ROLE:

The engineer in this role is expected to perform network design of control system, understanding the client requirements and ensuring correct design.

4.              KEY RESPONSIBILTIES / WHAT WE EXPECT:

·      Implement department guidelines and adhere to standards while designing the hardware.

·      Implement client requirements pertaining to scope.

·      Responsible for delivering scope on the projects.

·      Responsible for design reviews and close out the action points.

·      Prepare Network Topology required on a project.

·      Develop IP Plan, Functional Design Specifications.

·      Responsible for writing / checking test cases for various networks and configurations.

·      Develop Python scripts for automated configurations.

·      Liase with product team for changes to suit client requirements on projects

·      Prepare for Design Reviews, Checklist, and documentation.

·      Knowledge sharing with team members.

·      Guiding the engineers in the team.

·      Regularly notify the lead about project progress.

  Educational Qualifications

Graduate in Engineering

Mandatory- CCNA Global Certification

Functional Skills / Key competencies

·    Knowledge of Network Architecture Design

·    Knowledge of OT Network in Control System Design

·    Hands on experience on Ethernet Switches, Router and Firewalls (especially Cisco / Palo Alto / Allan Bradley makes)

·    Good knowledge of Routing Protocol.

·    Good Knowledge of Spanning tree protocol, stacking of switches, Troubleshooting knowledge of loop in the network., VTP domain, L3 and L2 switches.

·    Firewall Packet flow, TCP and UDP protocol, Troubleshooting skill for firewall related issue, ACL filtering, TCP and UPD port functionality.

·    Good troubleshooting skill.

·    Good knowledge of VISIO for Network diagram. 

·    Self-motivated and ability to lead small teams.

·    Good communication skills - Both verbal and written.

Relevant and total years of Experience

Total:

-       Total work experience of more than 8+ years in Network Architecture Design for OT Environment.

Relevant:

-       Practical experience of more than 3 years in Network Architecture Design in Control System in Automobile/material handling/Special purpose machines/Process/Oil & Gas Industry
