Network Security -: Juniper Routing and Switching Engineer (L3)

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Juniper Routing and Switching Engineer (L3) to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting Juniper network solutions, ensuring optimal network performance and security.

Technical Skills Required:

• Design, implement, and manage Juniper routing and switching solutions.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Configure and maintain Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Juniper solutions with existing network infrastructure.
• Provide L3 support for complex network issues and escalations.
• Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest Juniper technologies and industry best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of Junos OS and Juniper CLI commands.
• Expertise in configuring and managing Juniper routing and switching devices.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Ability to perform packet analysis and network troubleshooting using tools like Wireshark.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Juniper routing and switching.
• Strong hands-on experience with Juniper MX, EX, QFX, SRX, and PTX series hardware.
• Proficiency in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Juniper certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other network technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Check Point.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
