Job Description

Network Security Engineers (L2 & L3) - F5 WAF

Locations: Mumbai & Chennai

Experience:

  • L2: 46 years of experience
  • L3: 1012 years of experience

Education: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA

Preferred Certifications: Network Security Certified Professional, CISSP, CISA, CEH, CISM, ITIL, ISO 27001, etc.

Skills required: (Combination of any 2/3 skills)

  • WAF : F5 (MANDATORY)
  • Proxy - Sky High, Zscaler - Posturing
  • Firewall - Algosec
  • Micro segmentation -- Gaurdicore
  • NSX, VM Ware
  • Nginx Akamai

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor various security devices and tools such as:
  • Network Security: WAF, Network APT, Secure Web Gateway
  • IAM: PIM, RSA
  • Endpoint Security: EDR, DAM, NAC, DLP, FIM, IRM
  • Security Management: SIEM/SOAR, Active Directory, Web Application Security
  • Perform incident, change, problem, capacity, migration, and availability management activities.
  • Ensure system hardening, vulnerability management, and compliance with security standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, dashboards, policies, and configurations.
  • Implement automation and optimization using scripting, Ansible, REST APIs, etc.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring SLAs and quality standards are met.

Level-specific Responsibilities:

L2 Device Management Support Engineer

  • Handle day-to-day operations, incident resolution, and L1 escalations.
  • Perform device configuration, patching, backup, and routine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with L3 and customer teams for root cause analysis.
  • Focus on execution and stability of security tools and operations.

L3 Device Management Support Engineer / SME

  • Lead L2/L1 teams in operations, capacity planning, and problem management.
  • Own complex escalations and major incident root cause analysis.
  • Design and review HLD/LLD, SOPs, policies, and configuration standards.
  • Drive automation initiatives, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Responsible for team building, skill enhancement, and stakeholder coordination.
