Network Security Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience to design, implement, and maintain network security solutions. The candidate will safeguard the organization's network infrastructure by identifying vulnerabilities, managing security tools, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security devices
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and investigate security breaches
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses
• Manage firewall policies, access control lists (ACLs), and network segmentation
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to design secure network architectures
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and stakeholders
• Assist with compliance audits and ensure adherence to security regulations

Required Skills:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in network security engineering and administration
• Strong knowledge of firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet)
• Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and network security protocols
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS systems and security monitoring tools (Snort, Splunk, etc.)
• Proficient in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and routing/switching concepts
• Experience with vulnerability management and security incident response
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (Python, Shell) is a plus
• Experience with SIEM tools and security event analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, CompTIA Security+
• Experience with cloud security and securing hybrid networks (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of endpoint security and malware protection solutions
• Familiarity with network automation and orchestration tools
• Experience in an ITIL-based service management environment
