Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

( Good experience in Checkpoint/Palo Alto/Fortinet Firewalls

Provide senior level, advanced hands-on support for Checkpoint enterprise firewalls, Palo Alto, Fortigate (a must), log reporting, firewall audits and vulnerability management configuring and supporting FortiNet systems, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer

Expert in all aspects of the firewall device installations, maintenance and usage of a large-scale local and wide area network Nice to Have: Azure and Cloud experience

Understanding of: TCP/IP Network & Application Layer Firewall technologies

Ability to: Manage complex firewall policies Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to prepare network or infrastructure Visio topology diagrams

Experience with network design, including network segmentation

Experience analyzing network traffic; Splunk, Wireshark, etc. Switching Concepts VLANS, STP, RSTP, VTP, HSRP, VSS, Trunk Encapsulation, MAC Filtering, Ether-channel, port-security. Routing Concepts Static Routing RIP, EIGRP, BGP, Class full and Classless Routing. Expert level knowledge in Networking fundamentals and concept of Switching, Routing, IP Addressing, LAN and WAN protocols, Routing Protocols, VLAN, VPNs, Network Security. Working knowledge on multicast routing. Security Concepts NAT/PAT, ACL /Firewall Policies, VPN. Vendor Management skills. Troubleshooting and Network Management Utilities SNMP, ICMP, SSH, Telnet, Traceroute, wireshark etc.

Good-to-Have Check Point CCSE certification (preferred) Fortinet NSE4 PCNSE or equivalent level certifications strongly desired Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills
