Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Network & Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in both on-premise infrastructure and AWS networking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network architectures, including firewall configurations and access control policies, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure across on-premise and AWS environments.
- Configure and maintain firewall rules, security groups, NACLs, and routing policies.
- Ensure secure connectivity between on-prem systems and AWS (VPN, Direct Connect, hybrid setups).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and security issues.
- Implement network segmentation, access control, and zero-trust principles.
- Perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, and recommend remediation actions.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration.
- Maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in network engineering and security.
- Strong expertise in on-prem networking (LAN/WAN, routing, switching).
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Internet Gateway, NAT Gateway, VPN).
- Proven experience in configuring firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, AWS Network Firewall).
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking and secure connectivity models.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices.
- Experience in handling enterprise-scale environments.
