Role: Network and Firewall Engineer (L2/L3)
Overview
Seeking offshore Network Engineers to support a U.S.-based engineering team in a managed services environment. This is an execution-focused role involving network support, deployments, and troubleshooting across multi-vendor environments. No architecture/design ownership required.
Technical Skills Required
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Cisco Meraki, Fortinet (FortiGate), Cradle point, and SD-WAN environments
- Handle site outages, WAN/connectivity issues, firewall policies, routing, and VPNs
- Support SD-WAN performance and failover scenarios
- Execute deployment cutovers and assist in network implementations
- Provide remote support to field technicians during installations
- Work on tickets, monitoring, and operational tasks throughout the shift
- Coordinate with ISPs/carriers for circuit and connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and ticket updates
Roles and responsibilities
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering/support
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and cellular networking (Cradle point)
- Solid knowledge of VLANs, routing, VPNs (IPsec), firewall policies, and SD-WAN
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and handle deployments with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting remote installations and working with distributed teams
Certifications
- Meraki and Fortinet certifications (required)
- Network+ / CCNA (preferred)
Nice to Have
- Palo Alto (PAN-OS / Prisma SD-WAN)
- Cisco routing & switching / SD-WAN
- Cellular networking experience
