Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
L1 Network Security Engineer to join our security operations team. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and supporting firewall and malware security operations in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Palo Alto firewalls and security systems
- Perform malware detection and sandbox analysis
- Troubleshoot basic network security issues
- Work with IPS tools and DDoS protection systems (e.g., NetScout)
- Escalate critical incidents to L2/L3 support teams
- Maintain logs, reports, and proper documentation of incidents
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of network and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and malware sandboxing
- Knowledge of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) (Checkpoint is a plus)
- Basic understanding of DDoS attack mitigation concepts
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment
