As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer

(IC2–G4) to join our growing Network Operations team based in Hyderabad. This position will operate as part of an expanded global team with a focus on the 24/7 support of our DDoS, WAF, and Firewall services, protecting both customer environments and client's global infrastructure. The client global network spans North America, Europe, and Asia, enabling all our Cloud, Network, and

Security products and services. Ensuring the operational integrity and availability of our infrastructure is essential to the continued success of our business and that of our customers.

The Role:

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Participating in the planning, configuration, and support of a Global DDoS mitigation platforms, firewall/VPN devices, and web protection services.

• Collaborating closely with the wider network team to implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external attacks.

• Providing recommendations and technical guidance to solve business challenges and enhance customer service availability.

• Managing planned maintenance and upgrade activities for DDoS mitigation platforms and firewall devices.

• Acting as an escalation point for support teams during customer service outages, DDoS attacks, and other security events.

• Participating in various technology initiatives and service improvement projects.

• Creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation and internal wiki content.

• Working with software engineering teams to define tools and systems for scaling security infrastructure.

• Developing automation strategies for common operational and repeatable tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Required

• 8-10 years of experience in a network engineering, network security, or operations-related

position.

• Excellent working knowledge of ALL Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiManager,

FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb and related technologies.

• Hands-on experience with DDoS mitigation platforms, firewalls, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS).

• Extensive knowledge of IP networking, routing, switching, and protocols used in large international service provider environments.

• Strong experience in packet decoding, traffic analysis, and attack investigation.

• Solid understanding of Zero Trust Network Access architecture and design principles.

• Practical knowledge of automation and scripting (Ansible playbooks, Python) is considered

an advantage.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and management systems.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer-facing skills.

• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work effectively under

pressure during security events.

• Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIP. A minimum

of NSE5 or equivalent security/network credentials.
