Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Administration:-

  • Lead and manage 24/7 NOC operations, ensuring proactive monitoring and quick resolution of network incidents and outages.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VoIP systems.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance metrics to ensure optimal uptime, throughput, and security.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident management, change management, and escalation processes.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely resolution of network-related issues.
  • Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration management records.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise and mentor NOC engineers and network support staff.
  • Manage shift schedules, workload distribution, and performance reviews for NOC personnel.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex network incidents and root cause analyses.
  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives and automation of NOC processes.

Network Design & Projects

  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure architects to design, deploy, and upgrade network solutions across industrial and office environments.
  • Participate in planning and execution of new automotive plant rollouts, network expansions, and system integrations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance network performance, scalability, and cybersecurity posture.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain network security best practices, including VLAN segmentation, firewall policies, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Support compliance with corporate IT and industrial cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443).
  • Conduct regular network audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation.

Primary Skills

  • Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VoIP infrastructure (Cisco & Auruba)
  • Proven experience in NOC operations management and network troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoS).
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG,Cisco Prime, etc.).
  • Proficiency in network automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar).

Secondary Skills

  • Familiarity with industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP) and OT/IT convergence.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Experience with VoIP technologies (Cisco CUCM, SIP trunking, call routing).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and incident response processes.
  • Exposure to automotive manufacturing environments and Industry 4.0 connectivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in network administration and NOC leadership roles.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP / CCIE / CompTIA Network+ / ITIL highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial setting and manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment

  • Shift-based operations in a 24x7 global NOC environment
  • Hybrid or on-site role depending on operational requirements.
  • May require on-call availability for critical incidents and planned maintenance windows.
  • Collaboration with global teams and travel to regional automotive plants as needed.
