Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Network Operations Manager with 14+ years of experience in
managing large-scale network infrastructure and leading Network Operations Center (NOC) teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of
network services while meeting committed SLAs. This role requires strong leadership, technical
expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in network operations, service delivery, and team capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of Network Operations (NOC) team and ensure SLA adherence
Ensure high availability and performance of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Firewall, Voice) Monitor network performance and recommend upgrades or improvements
Act as primary escalation point for critical network issues and outages
Prepare and review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and discuss with customers
Conduct weekly and monthly KPI reviews and ensure SLA compliance
Understand customer requirements and define network solutions accordingly
Participate in project execution and manage network-related deliverables
Prepare project schedules and manage operational activities
Lead improvements in maintenance, provisioning, service restoration, and data center operations
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service providers
Ensure proper documentation of processes, procedures, and operational activities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and internal projects
Handle customer communication via calls, emails, and meetings
Team & People Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop network engineers and technical teams
Conduct regular performance reviews and skill development plans
Ensure proper staffing and scheduling to meet operational demands
Train team members on new technologies and enhance skillsets
Create a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Required Skill Sets (Technical & Soft Skills):
Strong knowledge of network technologies (Routing, Switching, Security, Firewall)
Good understanding of Network Operations and Service Management
Strong ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
Experience in capacity management, provisioning, and service restoration
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Ability to handle customer escalations and critical situations
Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Experience in process improvement and project execution
Adaptability to changing environments and business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent)
ITIL Certification (Operations / Service Management preferred)
Cisco Certifications (CCNA / CCNP / CCIE preferred)
Work Experience:
14+ years of experience in Network Operations / NOC environment
Proven experience in managing teams and large-scale network operations
Experience in handling enterprise customers and SLA-driven environments
Prior experience in building and managing technical teams
Other Requirements:
Strong customer-focused approach
Ability to work in customer location / onsite environments
Experience in handling audits (SOX or similar) is an added advantage
Willingness to work in critical support environments and handle escalations
