We are looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience, specializing in Cisco SD-WAN technologies. The ideal candidate should be able to support, monitor, and maintain large-scale SD-WAN environments, ensuring high network availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support day-to-day operations of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) infrastructure
- Monitor SD-WAN performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
- Perform change management tasks including configuration updates and policy adjustments
- Maintain and troubleshoot control plane components (vManage, vBond, vSmart) and data plane devices (edge routers)
- Ensure continuous connectivity across branch sites, data centers, and cloud platforms
- Manage WAN/LAN configurations, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and QoS policies
- Conduct network health checks, patch updates, and backup configurations
- Collaborate with network architects and engineering teams for SD-WAN rollouts and migrations
- Provide L2/L3 support for network incidents and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Document network designs, configurations, change logs, and operational procedures
- Support DR/BCP testing and participate in post-incident reviews
Required Skills:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in network operations and support, with at least 2+ years in Cisco SD-WAN
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN architecture and components
- Experience with vManage, vBond, and vSmart controllers
- Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), NAT, IPSec, GRE tunnels, and QoS
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, PRTG, etc.)
- Experience in network troubleshooting, log analysis, and packet captures
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls (ASA, FTD)
- Understanding of WAN optimization and cloud connectivity (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Comfortable working in 24/7 operational environments and participating in on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, Cisco SD-WAN Specialist, or CCNA
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python) for network task scripting
- Exposure to ITIL frameworks and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
- Experience in network documentation and topology mapping tools (e.g., Visio, NetBrain)
