Network Operations Center Engineer

We are hiring for Network Operation Centre Engineer (Telecom / Networking) at Pune.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network Operations Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and support large-scale telecom networks.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IP/MPLS technologies and network monitoring tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced NOC/operations environment.

Domain: Networking Protocols (L2/L3 networking Protocols)

Interview Mode: Face-to-Face (Final Round can be)

Candidate should be having strong experties in Nokia Router (7k/8k/9k series) with L2/L3 troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor network elements, services, and applications using NMS / NSP.

Proactively identify, analyze, and respond to network alarms, alerts, and incidents.

Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting for network issues (IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, Segment Routing, EVPN) Log, track, and manage incidents in line with SLA / OLA processes Escalate issues to CTA, TAC, vendors, or field teams as per escalation matrix.

Coordinate with vendors and TAC for fault isolation and resolution Perform basic health checks, validation, and network monitoring.

Execute SOPs and adhere to change management processes Communicate incident updates to stakeholders via calls, emails, and messaging tools

Participate in RCA, RFO, and post-incident analysis

Support planned maintenance activities, including off-hours when required

Technical Skills Required

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, L2/L3 Routing & Switching.

Working knowledge of Nokia routers 7k series, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN.

Experience with NMS / NSP / Network Monitoring tools

Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)

Basic understanding of Optical / DWDM is an added advantage Exposure to Nokia platforms is a plus
