Roles & Responsibility:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Monitoring and Analysis:
- Continuously monitor network performance using network monitoring tools.
- Analyze traffic patterns, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain and configure Network Monitoring Systems (NMS).
- Respond to network alerts promptly and effectively.
- Investigate and resolve network outages or performance degradations.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level teams as necessary.
2. System Maintenance:
- Perform regular health checks on routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Update monitoring dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
3. Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate and deliver network performance reports.
- Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
4. Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with IT and security teams to optimize network performance.
- Provide recommendations for improving network efficiency and scalability.
5. Tool and Technology Management:
- Manage tools like OPManage, SolarWinds, PRTG, Opsramp, Cisco ACI, Aruba Clear Pass, Aruba Central or equivalent platforms.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in network monitoring and management.
ualifications:
Relevant certifications (preferred): CCNA, CCNP, DCACI, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in network monitoring or IT operations.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., OPManage, SolarWinds, PRTG, Opsramp, Cisco ACI, Aruba Clear Pass, Aruba Central).
- Familiarity with network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to Incident, Problem, Change Management and Service Level Reporting
