The Level 2 Network Support Engineer role at Lenovo India Private Limited is a challenging position that requires a highly skilled network engineer with strong expertise in Cisco technologies. The ideal candidate should demonstrate deep capabilities in architecture, design, management, and troubleshooting of Cisco network environments.
Key responsibilities
. Strong Technical skills for install, configure, and manage for network technologies.
. Expertise on Cisco technologies is a mandatory.
. Cisco SDA, DNAC, WLC, ACI, ISE and Campus technologies expertise is mandatory
. Expertise on Cisco technologies for: Data, Voice and Wireless along with Firewalls.
. Expertise on Wireless Network Design & Architecture and WLC management.
. Expertise on wireless security implementation.
. Demonstrate strong expertise in Cisco wired and wireless technologies including traditional routing, switching and network security technologies.
. Deployment, management and troubleshooting of Cisco ACI & SDN solutions
. Strong knowledge and experience on Provisioning, Assurance and Automation services on Cisco DNAC center.
. Implement and manage Cisco ISE for secure network access.
. Work closely with network architects and administrators to optimize Cisco SDA deployments.
. Strong knowledge and experience on SDN, Switching, Routing, Network Security, Underlay & Overlay, VxLAN, Micro segmentation, AAA, DNS, DHCP, IPAM solutions.
. Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall policies and rules
. Strong knowledge of Cisco wireless infrastructure and hands-on experience with Wireless LAN controller and Cisco AP troubleshooting as well as with the Cisco WLC IOS Code upgrades.
. Excellent Troubleshooting & Debugging expertise on Cisco WLC and Access Points.
. Strong knowledge and experience around Voice Network technologies: Corporate Telephony, Cisco Call Manager, Voice Gateways, Cisco Unified Communications/Voice Conferencing/Webex
. Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities
. Troubleshoot and resolve network problems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security standards align with business objectives
. End to end network tower BAU operations using Cisco technologies
. Should be able to independently work drive team for SLA commitments and ad-hoc demands from Client
. Life Cycle operations including updates, upgrades and firmware / Patching etc. for entire IT landscape
. Network automation for Cisco technologies is a mandatory
. Closely with OEMS and other ISVs to ensure end to end resolution
. Ability to work independently to defining IT landscape, Capacity expansion
. Ability to drive qualify, service improvements independently
. Ability to have connect and relationship with client executives and Reviews
. Efficient and expert to deal and work with cross teams
Key Responsibilities
- Possess strong technical skills to install, configure, and manage network technologies
- Demonstrate mandatory expertise in Cisco technologies
- Have hands-on experience with Cisco SDA, DNAC, WLC, ACI, ISE, and campus networking technologies
- Manage Cisco environments across Data, Voice, Wireless, and Firewall domains
- Design and architect wireless networks, including WLC management
- Implement and manage wireless security solutions
- Demonstrate expertise in Cisco wired and wireless technologies, including routing, switching, and network security
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI and SDN solutions
- Work with provisioning, assurance, and automation services on Cisco DNA Center
- Implement and manage Cisco ISE for secure network access

- Apply strong knowledge of SDN, switching, routing, network security, underlay & overlay networks, VXLAN, micro-segmentation, AAA, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions

- Manage Cisco wireless infrastructure, including troubleshooting WLCs, access points, and IOS upgrades
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging on Cisco WLC and access points
- Support voice network technologies, including corporate telephony, Cisco Call Manager, voice gateways, and Cisco Unified Communications (e.g., Webex)
- Monitor network traffic for security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network security with business objectives
- Manage end-to-end network operations (BAU) using Cisco technologies
- Independently drive SLA commitments and handle ad-hoc client requirements
- Perform lifecycle operations, including updates, upgrades, firmware, and patching across the IT landscape
- Implement network automation using Cisco technologies
- Work closely with OEMs and ISVs to ensure end-to-end issue resolution
- Contribute to IT landscape planning and capacity expansion
- Drive service improvements and operational excellence initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, including executive-level reviews
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Professional Certifications
Valid Cisco CCNP certification (mandatory)
Preference for: CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or CCIE Data Center
Additional Certifications
ITIL Foundation (preferred)
Cisco CCIE (added advantage)
Cisco CCNP/CCNA (added advantage)
Soft Skills
