TCS Hiring for Network Lead Operations and Projects

Experience Range: - 8 To 13 Years

Location : Hyderabad

Job Requirements

Excellent network administration and troubleshooting skills for LAN/WAN, WLAN and Security

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Switching & Routing protocols, MPLS, and Load Balancing.

Experience with STP, VTP, HSRP, VLAN, QoS, and similar technologies.

Ability to review network designs and recommend improvements.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Leadership capability to guide junior engineers and manage escalations.

Experience planning upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives.

Review and validate network designs, HLDs/LLDs, and implementation plans before deployment.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) discussions and drive preventive actions to avoid repeated incidents.

Own end‑to‑end delivery of network changes, migrations, upgrades, and critical maintenance windows.

Provide guidance, technical mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members and new joiners.

Allocate tasks, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to standards and best practices.

Conduct skill‑gap assessments and recommend training or upskilling plans for the team.

Ensure adherence to ITIL processes—Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.

Create, update, and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and configuration templates.

Drive standardization across network implementations, documentation, and operational workflows.

Identify recurring issues and propose automation, monitoring enhancements, or design improvements.

Conduct capacity planning, link utilization analysis, and periodic health checks to ensure optimal performance.

Lead network risk assessments and contribute to DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP planning.

Lead network projects from planning to execution, ensuring timelines, quality, and compliance.

Ensure compliance with security policies, hardening standards, and audit requirements.

Monitor and ensure proper logging, monitoring, and access controls across network devices.

Product knowledge:

Routing Protocols, especially MPLS, BGP, EIGRP/OSPF

Cisco Routers -- 7200, 3800, 3600, 2800, 2900, 881

Cisco Switches -- Nexus 7K/5K/2K, CAT 9500, CAT9300, 6500/4500/3850/3750/2960

Juniper EX series switches

Juniper SRX series firewalls

Security -- IDS, IPS

F5 Load Balancers

VPN – Site to Site, DM VPN, SSL VPN

PBR, PfR and ASRs

Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA)

SD-WAN

Cisco ACI using Spine-Leaf

Key Responsibilities

Experience on Network and Security architecture designing

Good Knowledge & Hands on experience on Juniper Firewalls and Juniper switches

Good Knowledge and experience on Aruba Wireless Controllers

ITIL Certification

CCNP / CCIE Certification
