control, and IoT systems into seamless, intelligent experiences for New & Retrofit Residential and
commercial spaces for our customers in conjunction with our Dealer Implementation partners.
The Role
We're hiring a Network & Smart Systems Design Engineer to architect and simulate our
network, CCTV, and smart-infrastructure solutions before they're built.
Using industry-standard design tools, you'll model complete network architectures, simulate
Wi-Fi coverage, and map camera field-of-view and coverage for both residential and
commercial spaces. Your designs — heatmaps, topology diagrams, device layouts, and bills
of materials — become the blueprint for our deployment teams and clients rely on.
This is a design-focused engineering role for someone who loves turning a floor plan into a
precise, optimised system and getting the coverage right on screen before a single device is
mounted.
What You'll Do
1. Network Architecture & Design
- Design complete wired & wireless network architectures for residential & commercial projects.
- Plan and simulate Wi-Fi coverage, access point placement, and roaming using tools such as UniFi Design Center, TP Link Network Planning Tool.
- Design VLAN segmentation, IP addressing, DHCP/DNS, routing, firewall, & VPN topologies.
- Specify Professional Networking Hardware such as Ubiquiti UniFi / UDM, TP-Link Omada and Deco, and managed switches, routers, and gateways to fit each project.
2. CCTV & Surveillance Design
- Simulate camera coverage, field of view, and DORI zones (Detect, Observe, Recognize, Identify) using tools such as Hikvision HiTools Designer, CCTV Design Tool, or CCTVplanner.
- Design NVR/IP camera architecture for Primarily Hikvision and Dahua systems, identifying and eliminating blind spots.
- Plan storage, bandwidth, and network requirements for surveillance deployments.
3. Access Control & Smart Systems Design
- Design access control layouts using Hikvision access control, door controllers, biometric, and RFID/card systems.
- Architect IoT and smart-building networks — Zigbee, Thread/Matter, Wi-Fi IoT devices, hubs, and gateways — for smart homes and offices.
- Plan integration between networking, security, and automation platforms.
4. Smart Home & IoT Systems
- Architect and manage IoT networks for smart homes and smart offices.
- Configure and troubleshoot Zigbee, Thread/Matter, Wi-Fi IoT devices, & smart hubs & gateways.
- Work with home automation platforms and integrated smart building systems.
5. Documentation & Handover
- Produce detailed network diagrams, coverage heatmaps, device layouts, bills of materials, & clear deployment documentation.
- Prepare clear, client-ready design proposals and presentations at the Project proposal stage.
- Support deployment teams with accurate, buildable designs & answer technical queries during rollout.
Required Skills
- Networking: TCP/IP, Subnetting, VLANs, Routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, & Wifi networking.
- Design tools: UniFi Design Center for Wi-Fi coverage, and Hikvision HiTools Designer (or similar) for camera FoV and DORI-zone planning.
- Platforms: Ubiquiti UniFi / UDM, TP-Link Omada/Deco, Hikvision and Dahua CCTV, access control, and IoT ecosystems (Zigbee, Thread/Matter).
- Design & documentation: Spotting coverage gaps and producing network diagrams, layouts, BoMs, and client-ready proposals.
- Troubleshooting: Wi-Fi performance issues, Network outages, CCTV connectivity, Access control failures, IoT device onboarding and connectivity, Remote access and VPN troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or Networking.
1–2 years of experience designing medium-scale network and smart-infrastructure projects.
Exposure to smart home, smart office, hospitality, or building automation projects.
Certifications such as Ubiquiti, CCNA preferred, MikroTik, or Network+
