About The Role
Architecture & High-Level Design
- Define end-to-end enterprise campus architecture using Cisco SD-Access
- Design SDA fabric including:
Fabric sites, domains, and multi-site architecture
Control plane, border, edge, and intermediate nodes
- Design Virtual Networks (VN), IP addressing strategy, and SGT-based segmentation
- Define underlay and overlay architecture (LISP, VXLAN, Anycast Gateway)
- Design high availability (HA) and scalability for large campus environments
Low-Level Design (LLD) & Planning
- Create detailed HLD and LLD documents
- Develop migration strategies:
Brownfield to SDA
Phased or hybrid deployments
- Capacity planning for switches, wireless, DNAC, and ISE
- Define software versioning, image strategy, and upgrade plans
Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) Advanced
- Architect and deploy DNAC clusters (single / multi-node)
- Define DNAC:
Assurance strategy
Automation workflows
API integrations
- Plan and execute DNAC upgrades and lifecycle management
- Use DNAC Assurance insights to validate design outcomes
Security & Policy Architecture
- Design and integrate Cisco ISE with SD-Access
- Architect:
TrustSec / SGT policy models
Guest, BYOD, and posture-based access
- Define macro and micro-segmentation strategies
- Align SDA security design with enterprise security frameworks
Wireless Design (Enterprise Campus)
- Design Cisco enterprise wireless architecture
- Plan:
WLAN models
RF design principles
High-density and location-based services
- Integrate wireless into SDA fabric via DNAC
Automation & Programmability
DNAC templates
REST APIs
Python scripting (advanced)
- Enable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts for campus networks
- Integrate SDA with external platforms (ITSM, monitoring, AIOps)
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Architecture blueprints
Design standards and best practices
Deployment and migration runbooks
- Conduct training sessions and handover to operations teams
- Define operational readiness and acceptance criteria
