Network Engineer

JD for Network Engineer :-

Skills: Network Support Specialist L1/L2, LAN / SD-WAN, WAP hardware, TCP / IP, vLANs, routers, Cisco switches, firewall rules implementation / changes, VPN setup/ changes, Cisco Meraki, Cradlepoint. Perform bi-annual firmware upgrades, Maintain, update network diagrams & documentation. Solarwinds - add, modify / update, custom reporting, automation of remediation configuration. Opening tickets with vendors for break /fix. Escalate unsolvable tickets from L2 to L3 teams.

Job Description:

Assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Network platform / technologies. Responsible for performing a range of tasks including:

Level 2 triage of incidents of all tickets assigned to Network queue effecting CORP resources, escalation to L3 Weyerhaeuser engineers as appropriate.

Monitoring all WAN circuits, contact and coordinating with vendors during WAN service disruptions, communicate status to Weyerhaeuser L3 network engineering team.

Complete RMA process with vendor for hardware failures of switching, firewall, SDWAN, and WAP hardware.

Complete, manage and maintain all drawings located in the network engineering library, ensuring accuracy and completion.

Firewall rule request changes, following standard operating procedure.

Biannual firmware upgrades for all network edge hardware (Firewalls, SDWAN, CradlePoint, WTIs, etc.).

Annual firmware upgrades of all interior CORP network hardware (iOS on Cisco switches, Wireless access points, etc.).

SolarWinds tools set management including:

Ensuring all network assets are monitored within SolarWinds.

Ensure accurate feed of assets listed within SolarWinds to CMDB

Create custom reporting as requested for inventory and incident management.

Creation of management dashboards for inventory, configuration, and performance of equipment.

Creation of automation to remediated configuration drift among assets monitored

Patching and upgrade of SolarWinds software.

Opening tickets with vendor for breakfix issues.
