Position Summary

This is a full-time remote role for a Network Engineer at MBUZZ Technologies. You'll be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and management of our clients local and wide area networks, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance. You'll work on complex network infrastructure projects, support pre-sales activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements. Your tasks will include network administration, network engineering, troubleshooting, network security, and network design to ensure the smooth functioning of networking infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN).
• Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and security.
• Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with presales and project teams to deliver tailored solutions for enterprise and telecom clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and infrastructure changes.
• Participate in network capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement network security protocols to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats.
  

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications required (CCIE is a plus).
• Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or other vendor-specific certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a system integrator or ICT environment.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and/or HPE Aruba networking equipment.
• Experience in enterprise networking, data center environments, and ISP-level troubleshooting.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IP routing, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, VPN, NAT, and QoS.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for network automation is a plus.
• Experience in working with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is an advantage.
