Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network architecture, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot network issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and recommend enhancements or upgrades.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with the security team to develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and processes.
• Prepare regular reports on network performance, outages, and improvement opportunities.
• Update network documentation as changes and upgrades are implemented.
• Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve network issues.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and optimize network configurations for improved performance.
• Implement network traffic management strategies to ensure efficient data flow and minimize congestion.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their network requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for network-related projects and support.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing timely updates on network-related activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with network equipment and technologies from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
