This position demands a seasoned professional to manage complex, multi-vendor wireless environments, specifically focusing on Cisco Catalyst 9800/5500 WLCs and modern Juniper Mist AI-driven wireless technologies.
Core Responsibilities (L3 Support):
- Deep-Dive Troubleshooting:Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for complex, high-impact network connectivity and performance incidents, acting as the final escalation point.
- Cisco WLC 9800/5500 Management:Expert-level configuration, troubleshooting, and patching of Cisco Catalyst 9800 series or large-scale AireOS environments (5500 series).
- Juniper Mist Deployment:Implementation, AI-driven automation, and management of Juniper Mist APs, SSR routers, and EX switches via the Mist Cloud platform.
- Complex Changes & Upgrades:Designing and executing network upgrades, AP provisioning, and firmware management with minimal downtime.
- Integration:Integrating Juniper Mist with existing legacy Cisco infrastructure and troubleshooting end-to-end network flows.
Technical Requirements:
- Wireless Expertise:Deep knowledge of 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and radio frequency (RF) fundamentals.
- Tools:Hands-on experience with Radioactive Tracing on Cisco 9800, embedded packet captures, and Juniper Mist AI Insights.
- Networking Foundations:Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and TCP/IP, along with ITIL operations (ServiceNow).
- Background:Typically 7-15 years of experience, with relevant certifications such as CCNP Wireless or CWNA.
