Role Objective
We are seeking a high-caliber
L3 Network Engineer to lead our network operations and architecture. As the final point of escalation, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of complex software-defined networking (SDN) and security environments. This role requires a subject matter expert (SME) who can provide technical leadership and ensure 24/7 infrastructure resilience.
Technical Core Competencies
- Cisco ACI (SDN): Expert-level hands-on knowledge of Multi-Pod and Multi-Site design. Deep understanding of Tenant constructs, Application Network Profiles (ANP), Contracts, Fabric Access Policies, and L3 extensions.
- Routing & Switching: In-depth mastery of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP protocols. Proficiency in Cisco IOS & NX-OS.
- Network Security: Advanced administration of Cisco Next-Gen Firewalls (FTD) and Palo Alto Firewalls. Expert knowledge of Cisco AAA servers and identity management.
- Application Delivery: Working knowledge of Citrix and F5 Load Balancers for traffic optimization and high availability.
- Overlay/Underlay: Advanced troubleshooting of traffic flows across complex fabric environments.
Key Responsibilities
- L3 Escalation: Act as the final technical authority for Level 2 escalations, driving complex network incidents to resolution.
- Architecture & Design: Design and implement advanced network solutions, maintaining strict adherence to documentation and global standards.
- Leadership: Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Operations: Oversee the deployment and management of Load Balancers, Firewalls, and ACI solutions.
- Support: Participate in a rotational shift roster, including 24/7 on-call support for critical business outages.
- Project Management: Manage non-complex implementations and forward-planning for infrastructure upgrades.
Qualifications & Experience- Experience: Minimum 8 years of total IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on technical expertise in the core technologies mentioned.
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / M.Sc in IT, CS, or Electronics from a Government of India recognized institute.
- Experience Background: Proven track record in BFSI, PSU, Govt, or Tier-1 MNC environments.
- Certifications: * Mandatory: Professional-level OEM Certification in a relevant network sub-domain.
- Highly Desired: CCNP, CCIE (Enterprise/Data Center), PCNSE (Palo Alto), or CISSP.
Soft Skills & Frameworks
- ITIL Mastery: Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
- Analytical Thinking: Superior interpretive skills to solve needle-in-a-haystack network issues.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
