Responsibilities:- Design, configure, and manage scalable and secure network architectures using Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent equipment.
- Implement and maintain switching and routing protocols including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), OSPF, BGP, and IPv6.
- Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and proactively identify and resolve network issues.
- Administer and maintain firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) to enforce security policies and protect against threats.
- Ensure high availability and redundancy through proper configuration of failover mechanisms and load balancing.
- Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and security compliance checks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations, cloud migrations, and new project deployments.
- Document network topology, configurations, and change logs for audit and knowledge management purposes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
Requirements
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 45 years of hands-on experience in network administration within an IT services or enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in switching, routing, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), OSPF, BGP, and IPv6.
- In-depth knowledge of firewall administration, including rule configuration, logging, and threat mitigation.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark).
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including segmentation, access control, and intrusion prevention.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent (e.g., Juniper JNCIA, Fortinet NSE) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
