Summary:

With a strong foundation in switching, routing, and advanced protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and IPv6, you will play a critical role in supporting business continuity and digital transformation initiatives. Your expertise in firewall administration and network troubleshooting will directly contribute to safeguarding our clients data and systems. Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and manage scalable and secure network architectures using Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent equipment.
  • Implement and maintain switching and routing protocols including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), OSPF, BGP, and IPv6.
  • Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and proactively identify and resolve network issues.
  • Administer and maintain firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) to enforce security policies and protect against threats.
  • Ensure high availability and redundancy through proper configuration of failover mechanisms and load balancing.
  • Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and security compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations, cloud migrations, and new project deployments.
  • Document network topology, configurations, and change logs for audit and knowledge management purposes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 45 years of hands-on experience in network administration within an IT services or enterprise environment.
  • Proven expertise in switching, routing, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), OSPF, BGP, and IPv6.
  • In-depth knowledge of firewall administration, including rule configuration, logging, and threat mitigation.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, including segmentation, access control, and intrusion prevention.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent (e.g., Juniper JNCIA, Fortinet NSE) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
