We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mid-Level Network Engineer with solid experience in Cisco routing and switching, enterprise network operations, and network troubleshooting.
Job functions
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco-based network environments.
- Participate in network upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, routing, and switching issues.
- Work with internal teams to ensure reliable and secure network services.
- Maintain and update network documentation and topology diagrams.
- Contribute to automation and operational improvements using scripting.
Qualifications
Primary skills
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching.
- Experience with enterprise switching technologies and VLAN-based networks.
- Understanding of Layer 2 security features such as Port security, DHCP snooping etc.
- Good understanding of core networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Experience with routing protocols (including VRF-aware) such as BGP and policy based static routing
- Experience with VPN technologies, including DMVPN on Cisco
- Experience supporting WiFi networks, including:
- Fundamentals of Wireless networks
- Administering Wireless controllers (Cisco, Meraki as a plus)
- Integration with policy servers (RADIUS etc)
- Understanding of PKI concepts and certificate-based authentication.
- Scripting and automation skills using: Bash, Python, Git
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including: Network diagrams, Topology documentation, Configuration changes
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Would be a plus
- Cisco certification (CCNA / CCNP) or equivalent experience is a must.
- Experience with network monitoring and automation tools.
- Experience with Linux distros (Centos, Debian)
- Familiarity with network security best practices.
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale network environments.
