Typical Day in the Life of an Senior Network Engineer

·       Install, monitor and provide support for all servers, network switches, wireless AP's, routers, firewalls, and communication links. Ability to
        troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate technical issues to other employees and management
·       Monitor regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

·       Creates and maintain network standards documentation for new site installations.
·       Maintains network IP addressing scheme.
·       Assists with technology planning through ongoing research.
·       Maintains accurate record of hardware and software deployments to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
·       Provide Tier II support for the Help Desk.
·       Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
·       Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

·       Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to
        the network infrastructure.

·       Maintains assigned portion of the change management program and disaster recovery program.
 
 

Who you are

·   Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and
    experience may be substituted.
·   4-10 years of experience in computer networking planning, maintenance and installation required.
·   Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix products and Cisco hardware.
·   Cisco CCNA, CCNP or Microsoft certifications a plus.
